When I started looking for the recipes for One Pot April I began by creating an enormous list of one pan recipes that I found on the internet. I was amazed by how many recipes I found! Recipes like these have become popular and I think I know why: they are incredibly easy and family friendly — two things every family needs!
While I really enjoy the creativity of crafting the perfect meal plan and quality time in my kitchen, One Pot April has taught me to love the “toss-in and cook” method to these meals. They are a true time saver, and have really helped me this season.
In my quest to find the best recipes for One Pot April, I ran across several recipe books. More than several, actually. I found TONS of one pot recipe books. The possibilities are endless with this theme and that is exciting! Beyond One Pot April there are so many resources available for you to continue making healthy and delicious one pot recipes.
This week, I get the honor of sharing the book from our Week 3 recipes with you! One-Pan Wonders from America’s Test Kitchen. This book might just have it all as far as one pot meals go: amazing variety, gorgeous (and tasty!) recipes, and tons of tips and tricks for making one pan meals. The 140+ recipes included in this book can be made on a sheet pan, in a dutch oven, skillet, roasting pan, casserole dish, or your slow cooker. You could make one pan meals for EVERY meal and never have the same thing twice using this cook book.
America’s Test Kitchen has done an extraordinary job culling the recipes for this book. I can’t share these details better than they can, so here’s a little blurb they wrote about One Pan Wonders:
“To reduce hands-on time, we cut out excess steps where we could, and discovered new ways to bring old favorites to the table. Take our Modern Beef Pot Pie: Where once you had to roll out a pie crust, we top off our meaty filling with slices of Parmesan-crusted bread (it doesn’t hurt that it’s a visual stunner to boot). Or check out our Easy Baked Mac and Cheese: We make passing up the blue box painless, with pasta that cooks right in its sauce and uses pantry standbys to produce a supremely cheesy treat right in a casserole dish.”
If you’re interested in buying this book, but first want to learn more, take a look at this website. This link shares ALL of the recipes in the book, so you know what you are getting ahead of time. ATK has been gracious to let us share 4 of their recipes in the One Pot April Week 3 menu. This is a great way to get started with these recipes and it will only leave you wanting more.
