Easy Meals for the New Year — Easy Skillet Mac and Cheese

Blog-Header

There are not too many sides that are quite as kid-friendly as mac and cheese, and nothing against the boxed stuff, but nothing beats homemade mac and cheese. Kylee Cooks brings us the recipe of the day: Easy Skillet Mac and Cheese!

Though this will sound like an exaggeration, this recipe is probably the best mac and cheese I have ever had.  Besides the noodles, the sauce and cheese mixture is created in a cast iron skillet (or any skillet that you may have) and blends together a few different cheeses, milk, butter, salt & pepper, and flour for a perfectly creamy, smooth and cheesy side dish. (Or even a main dish!) I can’t tell you what makes this mac and cheese just so delicious, maybe it’s the cast iron, maybe it’s just the fact that it’s totally homemade…either way, you will definitely want to whip this up soon!

I served this dish as a side next to grilled pork chops and roasted broccoli and cauliflower, but it would pair nicely with just about every veggie and protein you might want.

Plan to Eat tip: Hiding recipes

Did you know that you can hide recipes in your recipe book? You may choose to do this if you are following a new diet and need to eliminate some recipes, but do not want to delete them from your recipe book. You could also use this for holiday recipes that you only need once a year. Hiding recipes makes them invisible in your account, but you can reveal them to access them at anytime. This article will show you how it works!
