Easy Meals for the New Year — Homemade Chicken Pot Pie

Blog-Header

Homemade Chicken Pot Pie from Meal Planning Magic is our 25th recipe of the month and our recipe of the day! Creamy, warm, delicious crust… this recipe reminds me of the Pot Pie’s my grandmother used to make. Try it out and see for yourself!

This is a make ahead meal that can be frozen. So if you are a batch cooker, add this one to our rotation! One of my favorite things to do is to make double batches of dinners that are easily frozen such as soups, stews, chilis, casseroles, muffins, and now it applies to chicken pot pie. I made two different pies and baked one right away and put the other one in my freezer. Both have since been eaten, and they both were equally delicious. Family approved!

This article will show you how to plan for this using the Freezer Cooking feature right in your Plan to Eat account.

When I served this meal I had several guests, so I had a loaf of sourdough, a salad, and roasted asparagus, but it could have easily been served alone.
