As we approach the end of another year, we’re taking a moment to reflect. This year was filled with exciting program updates, fun new content on our blog, and some big milestones for our small but mighty team. Today, we want to share some highlights from the past year and set our sights on what’s to come in 2025. Let’s dig in!
Noteworthy Program Updates:
As always, our development team dedicated countless hours this year to making Plan to Eat the most flexible and functional meal-planning app available. Here are some prominent updates from 2024:
General:
- Just Released: You can now import recipes from any app or website where you find recipes including social media apps like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and Substack!
- We added a Dark Mode setting for both the app and website.
- We updated our grocery delivery provider, so you can now send over 100 items in your order.
- We added the option to get your referral commissions paid out through Venmo.
App:
- You can bulk-add ingredients and notes for times when you don’t need to plan a recipe but still need to add ingredients to the Planner.
- We updated the Cooking View for a better cooking experience!
- We added a search bar to the Shopping & Staples lists, so you can quickly find an ingredient on your list!
- You can bulk select and edit your Shopping and Staples List items.
- You can switch your Recipe Book view to a Carousel to save space when viewing multiple sections simultaneously.
Desktop:
- We updated our recipe clipper to a Recipe Clipper Extension. This clipper opens in a side panel, so it doesn’t obstruct your webpage and can remain open as you search the web!
- We added a date picker on the website Planner, so you can quickly jump to a date in the past.
