Mother's Cornbread Dressing

2 (16 ounce) packages dry corn bread mix prepared
1 onion diced
3 clove garlic minced
5 stalks celery chopped
4 hard-cooked egg whites chopped
1 TBSP rubbed sage just get a whole new jar every year
2 or 3 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
salt and pepper to taste
1 TBSP Olive Oil
1 pkg dry stuffing mix Pepperidge Farms
1 stick light whipped butter

This is how my mother made cornbread dressing. It has served us well. There were no measurements, so everything is a bit fluid. You'll need a lot of sage. Taste frequently when mixing together. It's not going to kill you. All times are estimates, and when something goes wrong, just go with the flow.
